I originally set up my own setup on how to get free WAP on your Samsung SCH-U740, but I have found a better and improved one over at howardforums.com. By doing this you are bypassing Verizon's settings for the phone to get to the internet and you then put in settings for a 3rd party called zaksenterprise. As far as I know this is perfectly legal and you can do this because the phone is your property and not the property of Verizon. The steps for the new and improved one are below:

Step 1: Register for an account at http://www.zaksenterprises.com

Step 2: Once you have registered for an account and you can access the page send an e-mail to this e-mail address: freewap@zaksenterprises.com with your phone number and password of your choice. (This will give you access to their wap server)

Step 3: Once you have received your confirmation e-mail that you have access to the wap server do the following steps on your phone to enable the correct menus and settings needed

Step 4: Go to the "Settings and Tools" menu and press "OK". Once you are in there press the # key, you should be prompted for a "User Lock" password enter "0 0 0 0 0 0" for the password. Once in the "SYSTEM INFO" menu press "0" one more time and you will be prompted with another "User Lock" password request, input 0 2 1 8 2 4 3 4 4 0. This will unlock yet another menu "PARAM EDITOR", once in this last and final menu go down to the "USERPREFS Editor" and press "OK", erase the "0" and change it to a "1". Press "OK" to apply the changes and simply press the "END" button to return to the phones main screen.

Step 5: Press the "MENU" button go into the "GET IT NOW" menu once in the
main screen of the menu press "#" and you will be prompted with a "ENTER LOCK CODE" password prompt. Enter the last 4 of your phone number (unless you change the security code). Once you do this you will be in the "Browser Settings" menu. You are now ready to setup the server information for free wap.

Step 6: Under the "Browser Settings" menu input all of the following information:

PRIMARY DNS

1) HTTP PROXY PORT= 9201
2) E2E PORT= 9201
3) LXL PORT= 9201

Google Search

I just read a new article in PC Magazine that peaked my interest and I thought was really cool. It was an article on how powerful the google search engine can really get. If you own a business you know that a security camera can come in very handy to stop someone from stealing or harming your business. These cameras have built in features such as to pan tilt and zoom. But with new technology comes new flaws. Some new cameras have a built in webserver so that you can view them over the internet anywhere that you would like. The downfall, everyone else can view it too.

So if you're bored and feel like doing a google search try one of the following to view a live pan, zoom, and tilt:

inurl:ViewerFrame?Mode=

Which will return panasonic cameras

and:

inurl:indexFrame.shtml

Which will return all Axis 2400 Cameras.

and:

inurl:/view/index.shtml

Have fun!
